More For Less

I LOVE reading Kelly's Blog! She is the cutest little thing (and that Harper! I just want to pinch her little cheeks!)

Kelly wants to know how her readers are managing to stay trendy and fashionable in this economy. She wants to know our secrets and share a few of her own. She is always looking sooo dang cute! I was pleasantly surprised when she shared that she does most of her clothes shopping here! Who knew!?

I'm going to make an assumption that because she lives near Bentonville, the home of Wally World, that they probably carry alot more stylish things in the stores there then they do here. I normally do not shop at Wal-mart for clothing, other than socks and sweats, but I really like this line they are carrying now..especially the T's!

So here's a few bargains that I've come across in the last few months...I'm not one to pass up a good deal, recession or not! Is it bad to have 100 pairs of shoes? Not that I do or anything....I'm just saying....if I bought them for $4 each, that's okay, right? :)

Norma Kamali for Walmart - The Zodiac Sign T -$4.00 on sale! I bought this in red for myself a month or so ago for $6 - and that was FULL PRICE!

I have no qualms about buying a $10 pair of shoes. If they last me a year, then so be it. As long as they are comfortable enough to get me through the day and I can walk in them without falling on my face, then I'm sold!

I bought these little numbers at Tar-jay a month or so ago...I just love them! I don't have a clue what to wear them with, but they were on clearance for $3.43! Can't beat that!

These babies are SUPER CUTE! I wonder if they are an 'online only' style? Haven't seen them in the stores before...but I really wasn't looking for them either...$11.49..not bad! The ones above were also that price online, but like I said...I scored them for under $4! WOOT! I'll be headed to Target in search of these soon.
Remember these shoes that I blogged about awhile back? Did I happen to mention that I have them in three different colors? :) Did I also mention that I had been coveting them for several months...walking by them on their little display table in the shoe department of Younkers...picking them up and turning them over in my hands...trying them on...flinching at the $89 price tag...hoping some day they would be mine? And then that day came.

After I had pretty much given up hope of every owning a pair of those Bobbi Blu shoes, I walked into the shoe department and they were marked down...85% off! WHAT?!? Apparently the line was being discontinued....and I bought not one, not two, not three, but FIVE pairs..Lordy, that's alot of shoes...but for less then $8 each, how could I pass them up! Here they are again for your viewing pleasure!

I'm kind of a fool when it comes to shoes. :)

And of course, I can not write about bargin fashion without giving a little shout out to myself, now can I? :)

Some of you may know that I have a little part-time gig selling a fabulous jewelry line. One of the main things that drew me to this line is the fact that it is super affordable! Everything is under $50! How great is that!?

Check out a few of the lovely things I get to sell!!

Like what you see? You can take a peek at everything in the catalog here.

So what deals have you found lately? I'd love for you to share!!

Only In Nebraska...

Can it go from Spring to Winter in less then 24 hours.

Yesterday I was enjoying the 56 degree weather. I washed the 20 million layers of salt and dirt off my car the night before in order to avoid the long lines of cars that were surely lining up to take advantage of the 'warm' day. I even busted out my favorite black pair of Bobbi Blu's to wear to work! Open toed shoes in the Middle of January? Who could ask for anything more!

But of course, all good things must come to an end. The current temperature according to Bill Randby is a cloudy 23 degrees and by tomorrow night I may be shoveling my way out of the house. Why oh why must the weather tease us so? I am not a fan of cold...or snow...sleet....rain...anything below 50 degrees or above 80 degrees. I like March...and September. That's about it. :)

On a side note, something was brought to my attention yesterday that was very disturbing....I was so excited to wear open toed shoes yesterday that It wasn't until I was at work and settled into my day that I noticed that I haven't had a pedicure since, oh I don't know, September maybe? At least that's the last one I can remember. And although I've performed the required maintenance on them as far as trimming goes, the polish that is barely there is most definatly from September. How did I not notice that when I put those shoes on? I must have been blinded by my love for Bobbi.

Good thing I have the day off! I will add pedicure to my agenda...PRONTO!
