I came across it twice today actually...and that seemed to be a sign to me to consider it more closely. :) It's called Linden Street Aqua Floral Comforter Set.
The First Time: I pulled up the JC Penney's website to look for a shirt I saw on one of their commercials, and this bed set was on the main page and it caught my eye. Scott and I have been going back and forth on what to do in our Master Bedroom. Our biggest issue with the room is that it has dark green carpeting from the previous owners and right now it's just not in our budget to replace. We had hoped to go with a chocolate brown/blue or black/blue 'theme' in the room, but with the carpet it's going to be a no-go for now. But this 'might' actually work in our favor if we go with this bed set...I could make it work I think.
The Second Time: As I was going about my daily rounds of checking in on each blog I frequently read, there it was again, staring back at me over at This Young House. Sherry and John seem to like it too. And added bonus for me...it's all laid out nicely with coordinating accessories courtesy of Melissa's Design Dilemma . SCORE!
I also currently have a square of each of these colors painted on my bedroom wall:
They are all from Sherwin-Williams. The first one is called "Interesting Aqua" and I first heard about it on Susie's blog. She actually got the idea to paint her kitchen this color from Pat. Pat painted her main bathroom this color, and I think I'm going to as well! I love the color! Susie, on the other hand, didn't love it so much. I think she ended up repainting. :)
The second is "Silver Mist' and on my wall it is much more of a blue color...it's name could be Interesting Aqua. I liked it, but I didn't think I'd ever find anything to go with it, or to tie it in with the ugly green carpet...but now I'm rethinking that since stumbling apon this comforter. It might actually work!
The last is "Avenue Tan". My idea was to use this color for the entire upstairs living area..which in our small home consists of the living room/dining room/entry/hall. I've been in search of the perfect tan/taupe color and this sadly is not it. It's much more 'army green' looking on the walls. Still a very nice color, but it's just not what I have been searching for.
What do you think? Can I pull off the Silver Mist color and this bed set with a dark green carpet? I'm trying to justify it. The green carpet is like nice, pretty, green grass? Leaves? Stems? The blue paint like the sky? Does that sound convincing to you?
Who am I kidding...Scott is going to be the one that needs the convincing...

I think you could pull it off. But, will Scott think it's too feminine? Maybe if you did a darker shade of something from the set on the wall to make it a little less gardeny?
(I want to do our bedroom with the chocolate brown/wine or navy combo, too! So pretty!)
I love that bedding! Those paint colors are very pretty as well.
